Personal Health

Personal Health encompasses so many aspects of everyday living. Going to the gym everyday won't make you healthy if you hate your job. Just the same, if you love your job but it causes you to sit most of the day, that won't make you healthy either. True health takes into consideration the body, mind and spirit. We do not claim to be experts in most of these categories but I do consider myself an expert in personal fitness. I have spent the last 25 years in this field and have some strong opinions which will come across in this section. I also have favorite books and web sites like realage.com that I will list and talk about. I love Dr. Oz and Dr. Roizen because their information is straight forward and easy to understand. The Physical Health tab will be my forum to hopefully help people with the issues that come up with imbalances that occur just from everyday living. My claim to fame is that Bryan and I spent six years of weekends building our house, from cutting down and debarking the trees to mixing 528 wheelbarrows full of mortar. We even moved the refrigerator up a ladder to get it to the second floor because the stairs were not in yet! Yes, we were determined but we also followed a strict routine of stretching, strengthening and yoga exercises that got us through this project injury free! I will share with you some of the vital moves that should be done by everyone who plans to reach a ripe, old healthy age.
